Connecting with Your Customers: A Social Media Primer In 2006, Time Magazine declared "you" the person of the year. Ad Age announced that their pick for Agency of the Year was "the consumer". And don't forget the buzzwords we all keep hearing: Web 2.0, blogging, vlogging, podcasts, social networking, tagging, mashups, metaverses. These all have to do with customers being at the centre of marketing activities. How will you need to change your marketing programs to stay aligned with this shift?
This session will give an overview of major social media phenomena and how businesses are using them to connect with their customers in new and exciting ways. Examples of successful and unsuccessful campaigns are given, with takeaways so you can start leveraging the power of social media and creating a social media roadmap for your business.
This seminar is ideal for attendees who want to get a no-jargon introduction to the world of social media and some tips on how to get started.
